Anyone else plan on getting lost and grumpy at the events in the Lakes this weekend?

(I'm feeling rusty and out of my depth...!)

I missed entries as we had other plans at home - so now off to the Kong MMM instead.

I've been back racing a few weekends now, has gone from feeling on it - to total muppetry depending on the day. Brain is finding it taking a bit longer than normal to get back into running and thinking at the same time. Back to basics I think!

I hear you loud and clear - results have been a random mixed-bag!

Hard conditions over the weekend - very warm!  Especially yesterday for the Northern Champ at High Dam.  Lots and lots of retirements (including me - ran out of time!)  But amazingly absorbing terrain, really keen to do more Lakes O.

British Middle on Saturday was a fair reflection of my current skills - 38th out of 81.  Mid-table respectability...

Good luck on the MMM!

First proper event for 16 months, brain dead after 5 controls on Saturday, much better on Sunday, got into the groove a bit more.

I had a melt down in the heat. Had a good run, but a poor performance. Such is the way of things!
