Has anyone done this before and have an idea of the total ascent involved?

Ive had a search on the web and cant find anything.

I never understand the kits lists for these trail races, its more than you need tor a fell race which are much higher and much more exposed....

I suspect there will be a wide range of abilities in a festival event and if you are slow, you generally need to be carrying more like hillwalking gear.

Seems pretty standard for these sorts of events these days, the cynic in me notes that they tend to all be sponsored by kit manufacturers.
