Anyone got any thoughts/scoops on when Garmin will refresh the running lineup?

My 645 non-music is struggling to maintain charge so Id prefer to wait for the new version rather than replace like for like. I can't remember exactly but it's got to be more than 2 years old

The 45 series, ie 45, 245, 645, 745 and 945 will all be refreshed at different times.

The first of the 55 series came out in June with the 55. I don't think the 645 will be replaced as it was already not being listed as a current model. So you'd need to check whether a likely 255 or 755 would best meet your requirements.

The 245 came out April 2019, and the 745 came out September 2020, which would imply that the 255 will appear first, but who knows when !!

Sorry. I should have been more clear. I meant the new version, whatever that may be. I saw the 745 which is triathlon aimed. I only run so I was interested in the possible replacement for the 645.

I meant I don't think that there will be a 645 replacement, the 255 will be the top run only watch.

One reason you might want to consider the 745/755 would be if you did off-road running and wanted an accurate altitude. The 745 has a barometric altimeter, whereas the 245 doesn't (and 255 probably won't)

The garmin website is good, you can compare models and see side by side which features are on each model

I've got a 245 and really like it, but I've seen a few people using a Coros Pace 2 which has a barometric altimeter, and is only £180.
