European record holder at 1500m, 10000m and the marathon. Amazing.

Gold in 2020 out of the question?

Still two years to go and he says he can go faster.

I think it probably all depends on Eliud Kipchoge. Farah can probably stay with a fast marathon pace, slightly faster than yesterday, then surge and win. However, Kipchoge is capable of running away from a world class field and running super fast times, like he did in Berlin.

In reply to XXXX:He's quoted that he thinks Kipchoge is a better marathoner than he is, but he also says he isn't scared to push him.  And 2:05 is good running, a genuine world class performance.

So why not for 2020 - 2 years is a long time, and a lot of things can happen before and during the race , but why not?  Would he be older than Carlos Lopez?

Championship marathons are often not run in super fast times, if Mo can get to the last half mile with the lead pack would you bet against him? He looked pretty easy at the end yesterday, he can definitely go quicker - probably not Kipchoge quick though

.......and British record holder over 1500 metres, beating Coe/Ovett/Cram's times. 6th fastest ever when it was set.
