I thought this was pretty impressive. Surprised no mention here of the new Ladies record for the southern upland way.

There's been loads going on - unofficial Women's sub 3 hour 50k, track 100 mile record, to name but two.

100 miles on the track may well be the most hellish of all. How does one not collapse from boredom?!

If you think that, whatever you do, don't watch 3100: Run and Become. 3100 miles round a block in New York.

(PS, do watch it, it's pretty impressive in a bizarre way)

He was also made to run another 5 miles (in 46 minutes) so that he could break the 12 hour record too. That’s a punishment. 

I can see that being vaguely better, because at least running around a block it will be slightly different each time due to traffic, people moving around etc.

Admittedly, 'better' is being stretched here.
