I'm going on a family holiday to the US west coast and have three days in Yosemite.

Having limited time and no rack etc I'm looking to hire a guide for a single day, can someone please recommend either a guide or guiding company?

thanks in advance

I heard that there's only one officially licensed climbing guide in Yosemite, which I think is this https://www.travelyosemite.com/things-to-do/yosemite-mountaineering-school-...

However apparently there are other operators working under the radar but then you might have issues with insurance, finding them, etc...

I used the Yosemite guides for a day's climbing when I was there and they were great. My guide - Bill - had done some gnarly first big wall ascents but gave me a superb day's entertainment on multi & single pitch climbs. He was really enthusiastic, pushed me quite hard and full of stories. At the end of the day we went to Yosemite Bridge to see who was on the big routes and he called one of mates who was up there for a chat! Great day out.
