Looks great. Is the glen really that trashed? I've avoided it for that suspected reason, but was perhaps naively hoping it wasn't too bad...

Trashed as in  by campers or the hydro development? has this started yet.

Yeah it's pretty bad tbh, huge numbers of campers and the associated detritus plus the hydro scheme works. We actually felt quite uncomfortable contributing to it by climbing there, although of course left no trace to the best of our abilities.

Were the ticks on the ACTUAL route itself? I thought they only hung out in places where they are historically likely to find victims, not on sweeping granite slabs :-O.

Not on the route, no, but the approach and descent is absolutely infested
