Seems like Gérome Pouvreau and Florence Pinet are crushing it around the UK at the moment with repeats of The Big Issue, Chupacabra, Point Blank, Muy Caliente, The Quarryman, Rhapsody and Reqiuem according to Planet Mountain. A ridiculous ticklist and word on the grapevine is that they are heading to the Peak.

I wonder if that accounts for the French plated van at Cratcliffe last night?

Hmm

Don't be ridiculous. It's a headpoint at best.

That is a hell of a tick list! The peak is not going to be safe from these marauding frenchmen!

saw a french couple at dumby the other week quietly working the routes without fanfare, was waiting for a ukc report to find out who they were!

In reply to Webster:

I've been trying to contact them for the past few weeks. My guess is that they don't have data/decent wifi in their van! We could use their blogs for info of course but we also need photo permission. Plus, it's always nice to interview strong foreigners to find out what they thought of our climbs!

Sans fanfare?   Is this a new style of ascent?  I may have many ticks

Would they be allowed to give an opinion on the grade post Brexit?

They'd have to do it in French, which should ensure no brexiters take an interest.

... although I doubt she'd object to being described as one of "les Français", which amounts to the same thing

You have to admire the dedication of these guys.  I can see why you might want to travel from France to climb at Pembroke, but Dumbarton ?

Is The Groove still unrepeated? I don't think Team America managed it, despite a film implying that they did.

my point is, when someone is trying rhapsody et al. there is usually a camera man or 3 about, plus groupies. not to mention they usually publicise their intentions to please the sponsors!
