Hi, Does anyone know whitch bits are climbable at the moment due to birds? on UKC and BMC is says this

Seasonal Restrictions

Dates: 1 March to 31 July

Reason: Nesting Birds

Peregrines nest at Pontesford Rocks each year but have changed nest site this year. The restriction now applies to all routes on the West Buttress.

but when you go there there are other signs saying that there is also a ban in place in lots of the other areas but nothing online about that.

anyone know if there is anywhere not affected by the restrictions?

Kind Regards,

Tim

This reply's a bit late, but if you're still wondering what to do, I would email Rob Dyer at the BMC. He sorted out an access problem at Raven Crag, Yewdale that I contacted him about, where the signs on the ground had incorrect info.

Went for a walk around there today. Signs seemed to make it clear that the whole crag was out of bounds until the 15th July.

Ive noticed that people have logged routes at the crag since march this year, despite the bird bans. We saw the peregrines today. The signs are very obvious and clear that we shouldnt be there whilst the birds are nesting. Shame on those who ignore the signs.

Hey, wondering if you had any update on the birds are they still nesting or is it free to climb?

Thanks.
