I know this has been  do to death a number of times, with many different opinions and arguments, and I've looked at past threads about this, BUT is there any tables, test results, experimental data, to show how petrol would damage a rope?

Nylon, has excellent chemical resistance to petrol below 22 deg. C so does anyone have and data on strength issues for petrol contamination?

cheers.

After searching there's loads of data for nylon / polyamides and it looks like it's pretty much resistant to petrol up to at least 85C.

It would still be interesting if anyone has any pull strength data.

Teufelbeger report no loss of strength as do the DAV and ÖAV. Edelrid didn't even bother to test it (hold cleaners were a disaster though!).
