Any trad climbs around Yorkshire that can be done with just nuts 00-11 and a set of hexes

In reply to Aidan Campbell:

Any routes climbed pre circa 1980 would have been climbed without cams & if on gritstone probably without pegs. So I imagine several hundred.

Somewhere like Twistleton Scar will be almost exclusively wires and hexes.

Phah... This is just a humble brag that you've got a full set of those new-fangled rocks. Ask again but for moacs/chocks on rope

All of them. Some will have the potential to be scarier without cams 🙂

Realistically though, anything E2 or lower will have most likely been climbed before cams were invented.

Get stuck in 🙂

Worth noting that hexes are designed to cam as well, though obviously they need placing carefully.  As others have said - nothing really depends on cams and a set of wires is good for thousands of routes in Yorkshire.

I see you've just been to Almscliff. There's lots there that would suit. Any Gritstone quarry generally gobbles nuts.

It's all just easier with cams!

Grit it is, not necessarily on Limestone.

In reply to GrahamD:

Indeed. On limestone, it would be more a question of, "are there any routes that need cams at this crag?"
