If you had to choose, what would be your chosen tracks /artists /albums etc. to squeeze that extra 10% out of you to get you up the wall?

Megadeth sound appropriate. We also had this on constant rotation in the weight room of our Judo club, together with some Refused and Motörhead. However, a friend once set a video of me leading a multipitch Elbe sandstone route to Symphony of Destruction. No idea what that was about....

Certainly not the moronic music played at my local wall, and when they play Rap, time to remove my hearing aids!

I may be misunderstanding the question but Billy Idol's 'Dancing with Myself" and  The Members "Turning Japanese" are both about trying to squeeze juice from a hard one

Yeah but what do you expect? Climbing walls are for kids, not proper climbers!

Alternatively, Whitesnake - live in the heart of the city - is a cracking album for doing anything to

Almost anything, though it should be switched off when I get to the hard bit, just like in all the climbing vids.

In reply to Robert Durran:

So I've been experimenting listening to a lot of the above tracks while climbing and I have realised that a lot of the tracks unconsciously make me overgrip or climb faster than I should.

At the moment I am enjoying Rocket Man by Elton John. It has a strange suffusion of uplifting rock and roll energy and calm.

In one sense I love the impact music has on my psyche to try hard but also that there can be too much of a good thing, and as others have said, sometimes silence can't be beat.
