Had to abandon a gold DMM offset (anodised alloy - not brass) at the bottom of the first pitch of Ffoeg's Folly, Avon Gorge. Only about 1-2 moves off the deck...

Free to anyone who can retrieve it! Posting so it hopefully doesn't rot in their for months...

Why not just go and get it out yourself?

Gah! This would complete my set of rescued DMM offsets - sadly its very far away and I’m not going to Bristol anytime soon. If anyone gets a gold one stuck (that they no longer want/can’t get out) nearer the peak pls let me know. 😀

Are you collecting a whole crag swag crack rack ?

I hadn’t planned on it but I must’ve rescued about 3 in wales in quick succession all of different sizes and after finding some others I’m one off completing the set. It would spoil it to buy the remaining one right?

Please note I posted as having found them but had no takers.

... Because I don't live remotely close to Bristol? I had a few hours remaining and wasn't particularly keen to spend all of them sitting in my harness hammering away with a hex + nutkey (which I did for about 15 minutes... As did both of my partners. It's quite stuck!)

I sincerely hope that answers your question.

I wouldn’t argue with you - the one slightly bigger I rescued required some specialist tools to get it out. They do seems slightly prone to getting stuck

I wouldn’t be surprised if you found multiple red ones. They go in everywhere and stick hard. Fantastic bit of gear. The best individual piece of passive pro I’ve encountered. All hail the mighty red.

Yeh. Have to say since liberating them seem to place them all the time, absolutely bomber in flared placements. Love em.

I've been using HB and then DMM offsets since IIRC 1991. I've never got one stuck. They do go in everywhere and are my favourite (and first ever) nuts, but they always seem to come back out just fine too.

No, I've lost other bits of gear down the years i.e. getting it stuck just not them! I guess epoxying the heads of the new ones probably helped.
