Patagonia just released the Alex Megos film on YouTube with lots of historical clips. Definitely worth watching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbWvFjUIt5k&t=453s

Good watch. Minor gripe, I wasn’t entirely convinced the Albert/Gulich bits dovetailed as well as they should have with the Megos bits. Seemed like the telling of two stories that were only weakly linked.

I enjoyed that. It was a  good insight into the effort - and repeated  failure - behind those  short clips we usually get of the successful ascent

The Ceuse project looks amazing . Be great if that gets climbed.  Be good if ondra and Schubert joined him for it .

Tbh, I found it quite disappointing. Didn't seem to have any idea/story line, any special/memorable thing except look at this guy who trains like a pro and performs like a pro. Strong, exceptionally strong but just that. Very far from the feeling I had after watching Silence for example.

I think it mostly feels like an incomplete story because it is incomplete. Alex's coach starts with saying 'he is strong enough to climb harder than what has currently been climbed' which I think we can all believe.

After this he gets really involved with a route for the first time and does the FA of Perfecto Mundo (9b+), but considering how 'quick' he does it - i.e. one month trip with no further specialisation required - there is a strong feeling that the real test is yet to come. I think this is the difference with Silence where Adam goes beyond everything that others have managed before.

I thought it was a good watch, certainly a psyche boost!

Free videos have become great quality these days.

I have to agree with you, managed about 20 minutes tbh.
