Just a heads up to Katana lovers who are looking to buy a pair of the updated version that I found that the new version runs slightly bigger than the old probably down to the change in the heel. Personally, I needed to go .5 of an EU size down from the old to new to get the same fit.

On that note; does anyone want to buy a pair of EU41 updated Katanas? Bought for £125 from rock and run and worn for one route so £110? Collection in Bristol or can post 

Yep. I confirm this. Also had to go half size lower then for the previous version

Does anyone have anything else to report apart from the size difference? Does it feel like an improvement, or is it one of those "upgrades" that makes you shake your fists at the sky in barely suppressed frustration?

Are we talking velcro or laces versions? they are, after all, very different shoes, and I know CWitter is thinking laces.

Is there only a new Katana Lace or has the VCS also been updated?  

When the VCS got updated a few years back i noticed a change in the fit in sizing in that too...

Yep, only the laces have been updated.
