FYI: link only works though if you go in over plain "http" rather than the "https" given, otherwise get a "Bad certificate" exception, which if you ignore and go ahead anyway you get a server error (400).  The joys of SSL (seem to recall a book in the 70s describing this, full of guys in beards and hairy women showing you how to configure your software).

Are you sure this was a book about computing?

Well I thought the TLS handshakes seemed overly 'familiar' at the time...

Ask your host about a free "lets encrypt" certificate for the https version of the site, and get them to point the https site to the same place as the http site.  They don't do Let's Encrypt certs by default as they want you to buy an expensive one.
