Depends on the type of cam.
If you live outside north america, BD will re-sling BD cams for free (so long as they deem them fit for use). You just need to pay to post them.
If the cams have thumb-loops, don't even try re-sling as you'll kill yourself.
If they have a butt that the sling is threaded through you can double-up a thin dyneema sling through it and clip, or alternatively tie a loop of 5mm dyneema cord through it (but this will be heavier and bulkier, and make sure you use a triple fishermans knot cos it's slippery).
