While the headline "grotty peak lime quarry has loose rock" won't surprise many, we pulled some rock off climbing in Blackwell Halt yesterday and required a trip to A+E (thankfully not serious). The blocks looked solid before they unexpectedly parted company sending football sized chunks down to my belayer from 3/4 height.

My climbing partner had already described the place as a "disgrace to climbing" (obviously not an aficionado of peak limestone).

I doubt there has been serious change to the grades but suspect there's bit more to come, treat with caution.

Can you let me know which route/s?

Actually, I've always thought this was one of the less grotty ones and I am a bit surprised.

Hope you are OK.

I think the line was Gopherspace  (Win95 seemed solid but looked worse).

I left a feedback comment in the log book.  Looks like there was a report of loose rock in April as well.
