As above

thinking about climbing at Crag Lough and/or peel crag this weekend and wondering how long it would take to dry?

 Thanks in advance

If it doesn’t rain tonight I’d imagine most of it would be dry.

Well, you're in the wrong place - I'm just down the road and it's not raining here....

West facing bits dry very fast - give it a day . The north face cracks take longer and can offer up a variety of slugs after wet weather. Give them a couple of dry days.

If it isn't dry, can you climb anyway and make sure your mates video it?

Its a mare in the wet.

(And presumed the OP did too)

When I visited Crag Lough many years ago, it was a warm day and the rock was bone dry. And it was still as slippery as ice cream coated in oil...

Aye I have never climbed somewhere with such an insecure 'soapy' feel. Good day out nonetheless.

Just to say had a great weekend climbing on Crag Lough and peel crag. Thanks for the info. Most 3 star classics were clean on both crags, but less popular routes were fairly green. Also spent a bit of time digging out the ledges on Rock Island Line at Peel.

Awesome route. Enjoy it while it’s clean
