I'm researching a climber called Dr WH Ward from the 1930s for a book project. He was a member of the Climbers Club. Any clues? Thanks Grant

I assume that you've already looked at the obituaries on the CC website?

Yes his obituary is in the 96 journal but I'm not a member so don't have access to download it

At one time you could look at the journals even if not a member.  I think you can ask the website administrator for access though.

I've not been a member that long but do have one or two older journals so had a look - unfortunately 1996 is not one of them. However there's a 1996 CC Journal on eBay for a fiver including delivery. Hope that's of help. If all else fails send me a message. Good luck with the book - quote from one of our favourite Father Ted episodes!

if you know its in the 1996 CC journal maybe a post here asking if anyone has a copy (as the title) might be worth a try

His obituary is in the 1996 CC journal. I have scanned the pages - just have to find a way to send them to you.
