I haven't done it myself but the highest peak in Finland, Halti, is the really a spur running off a higher peak in Norway.
Lots of people in Norway wanted to give the whole peak to Finland as its 100th birthday present two years ago. This seemed like a lovely idea but unfortunately couldn't be done technically because of international treaties if I remember correctly.
It's a couple of days backpack from the Finnish side but is a day hike from the Norwegian side.
Have fun. It's a great part of the world up there.
