Hi,

I'm heading to Scandinavia in the beginning of July. I'm driving my campervan to Arctic circle planning to climb, mountain bike, kayak and go up highest points of Norway, Sweden and Finland.

Is anyone interested in joining for some climbing in Lofoten Islands? I can lead bigger routes at VS standard. I'm in the Lake District for the last week of June if anyone would like to meet and climb something locally.

In reply to Tree Pete:

I haven't done it myself but the highest peak in Finland, Halti, is the really a spur running off a higher peak in Norway.

Lots of people in Norway wanted to give the whole peak to Finland as its 100th birthday present two years ago. This seemed like a lovely idea but unfortunately couldn't be done technically because of international treaties if I remember correctly.

It's a couple of days backpack from the Finnish side but is a day hike from the Norwegian side.

Have fun. It's a great part of the world up there.
