Just a heads up that the Cambridge Uni Mountaineering Club is doing a trip to Stanage tomorrow (sorry for the late notice).  There will be about 50 of us at the crag tomorrow but we plan to spread out as much as possible and won't be setting up top ropes, so will try and cause as little disruption as possible.  Thanks for your understanding!

Yeah the forecast has deteriorated. I'd sack it off as climbing wet grit is not cool and causes more rapid damage to the rock

Enjoy your day at one of the Sheffield walls, climbing at Stanage tomorrow will put off more freshers than you would be likely to keep and teach the remaining ones bad practice!

I don't know what forecasts they were reading!  The one I read was pretty accurate; not a drop of rain fell between 11am and 6pm, and the wind was enough that the rock was dry from midday on.

I do hope you didn't retreat to an indoor wall.  We didn't.  It's not hard to teach freshers that the beer mat is an important piece of equipment...
