I have big ideas of what I'd like to do but balls not quite big enough to allow me to do it half the time.
I live in Scotland, one of the best mountaineering 'back gardens' about and I try to get out once a month for a weekend climbing, ski touring, ice climbing, scrambling or sometimes all of the above.
I am lucky and proud to have once been a member of the RAF Leuchars Mountain Rescue team (2001-2009) where my love of the mountains, Guinness and Scotland was developed. I look back with fond memories of mountaineering with good guys (and occasionally girls) across the UK and sometimes abroad too. I am still amazed that the longest and best days I remember often started with a hangover from hell and ended with me almost dead on my feet.
I now don't get out quite as often as I did back in the day, but I'm still keeping my hand in which I'm content with.
