I'm a superhero created by a secret Government programme. Escaping, I instead used my powers for good.

Traumatised by the clash between virtue and wickedness, I now eke out an existence on the edges of civilisation, in the dismal confines of “The Axis”. Here, in the struggle against selfishness, avarice and conceit, I trust my books and my poetry to protect me. Usually incognito, I’m an outcast and I get dirty looks from strangers in restaurants and bars for laughing way too loud.

My sanctuaries are in the far, frozen North and the barren wastelands of The Peak. The spirit is replenished in an incisive play of adrenaline, several of the earth’s minerals and gravity. I’ll dive to the depths to collect small pearls of wisdom, but I’ve found falling through the air can result in a bump at the end. You’ve got to be able to pick yourself up, apply band-aid, and keep campaigning.

Graduating from pessimist to pragmatist with a healthy dose of hopefulness, I'm cynical, playful, enthusiastic and highly irreverent. I'll whoop your butt at draughts, but probably not at chess and I struggle sometimes with the “its” or “it’s” thing. All superheroes have limits.
