Position

An exciting opportunity now exists to join us as a Social Media & Digital Content Co-Ordinator. We are seeking a creative and highly organised individual who shares our approach to both mountaineering and life.

Working within the marketing team at our Head Office in Hyde, Greater Manchester the successful candidate will be responsible for the creation and communication of engaging content across all social media and digital platforms.

You will have an active and demonstrable interest in a variety of outdoor sports that include climbing, mountaineering or hill-walking and preferably at least one year’s commercial experience in digital marketing or a digital related role that includes copywriting and content creation.

Consideration will be given to candidates who have less commercial experience but who have a strong affinity to our brand and awareness of our industry provided they can demonstrate the required technical skills gained through internship or other practical experience. 

About You

You should be educated to degree level and ideally have at least 1-2 years commercial experience in a digital marketing or content creation related role. A knowledge of the outdoor industry, competitor brands and the outdoor retail sector is advantageous.

  • Be energetic, self-motivated and highly organised
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to clearly articulate ideas 
  • Have strong writing skills with the ability to produce articulate and compelling copy
  • Understand the importance of visual media and have basic photographic and video editing skills
  • Have a proven ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines / critical paths 
  • Have an in-depth understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
  • Be familiar with social media management systems such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social etc
  • Be computer literate and be proficient in a range of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite software.

Location

This is a full-time position based at our head-office in Hyde, Greater Manchester. Some travel both within the UK and overseas may be required on occasions.
