The UK's most anticipated climbing festival is back on June 4th 2022 and it's open to everyone. It will be a one-day spectacular event held at Rock Over Climbing in Manchester City Centre from 10am, with registration opening from 8am.
This is the most ambitious competition the UK has ever seen, with 100 problems to climb, 6 hours to compete and a truly unique scoring system to bring it all together.
The problems will be set in difficulty order, with more points available on the harder climbs. Only your top 20 scores will count towards your total, allowing everyone to climb alongside the very best athletes in the world.
But it's not all about the points! We'll be holding several different challenges across the day as well as hosting representatives from brands that we've partnered with over the years. We'll also have a BBQ going and will be hosting the grand finals in the Hub on the evening of the event, you’ll even get a free ROCfest t-shirt with every ticket!
The best setters in the UK will be here to make the competition truly spectacular, prepare for some sensational problems set by Max Ayrton, Jamie Cassidy, Alex Fry, Dave Barrans and many more. There will also be a number of off-piste problems mixed in with the regular comp problems, now is the time to show off your crack climbing skills!
Prizes will be available for all BMC youth categories as well as veterans, and a Grand Finals will take place in the evening for the Open category which has an enormous £6200 prize pool!

Lorraine McCall began her attempt today at a continuous, self-powered round of the Grahams, a four-month tour of upland Scotland combining walking and bikepacking. If successful, she'll be the first person that we know of to do it.
