A weather-resistant Pertex Equilibrium outer helps to fend off wind and light rain, with high wicking and fast drying benefits along with breathability. The lightweight fleece inner is very breathable and aids in the wicking of moisture when being active. The combination of materials makes the Vapour-Rise Alpine Jacket extremely versatile, with the option to wear it as a baselayer during colder weather thanks to the inner material.
As the Alpine part of the name suggests, long climbing routes are a potential use for the jacket. As such, the hood is fully helmet-compatible with a wired peak for adjustment and a roll-down, anti-snag Velcro tab for when it isn’t needed. The cuffs are also secured with Velcro tabs and can easily be tightened or loosened with just one hand. There’s also a two-way YKK front zip for even more versatility when climbing, to allow ease of use when belaying but without removing it as a layer.
