If you want to play a leading role in setting up and managing our new flagship climbing centre in Southampton, we are looking for you.
We have been the market leader in delivering a fun, inclusive and rewarding indoor climbing experience since the opening of our first centre in the amazing St Benedict’s Church, Manchester, in 2005. We offer climbing for everyone, building a passionate community that inspires and grows the next generation of climbers. Climbing is one of the fastest growing lifestyle sports in the UK and Europe and our new centre will give people of the area the ability to embrace the climbing experience, community, and lifestyle that we love.
Spring 2021 will see the opening of our newest centre in Southampton, which will encompass all types of climbing: bouldering, top-roping, lead climbing and speed climbing, with many auto-belays. Built by Entre-Prises, the wall will be state of the art and excitingly will include a carbon copy of the Olympic bouldering wall and speed walls from the forthcoming Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games. During their time in the centre, our customers, young and old, novice to experienced, will also be able to enjoy delicious, locally sourced food and drinks from our café, train in our fitness room and purchase climbing clothing and equipment from our shop.
Our Centre Manager will be responsible for creating an atmosphere where customers can have fun, relax, meet new friends and old, and improve their fitness in an inclusive climbing environment, underpinned by the highest standards of safety, customer service and positive team engagement.
Open every day from morning until late evening, managing our centres requires an energetic and self-motivated person, able to motivate a team and ensure our customers have a fantastic experience during every visit leaving them looking forward to their next. Additionally, the commercially astute Centre Manager will be responsible for the profitability of the centre.
Parthian Climbing Southampton, part of Climbing Centre Group ltd, will be our fourth climbing centre and is the beginning of a new phase of growth for our company. The Southampton Manager will be well supported by an experienced company management team and will play a key role in the future development of the company. We will provide training and development to ensure that they flourish in the role and grow with the company.
