Rock + Run is one of the UK's leading online climbing and mountaineering stores.
We are looking for a full time Warehouse Manager for our South Lakes HQ (full address below). The role involves overseeing the organisation of warehouse logistics, goods in and out and also managing a small team (two or three individuals) of order processors.
The ideal candidate will be organised, logical and diligent, with a reasonable level of IT proficiency. The ability to handle customer inquiries via telephone and email will also be required, along with a current valid driving license. Experience overseeing a small team of people would be advantageous.
Some interest in climbing, hill walking and/or off-road running, combined with an enthusiasm for the outdoors in general will be required.
THE PRINCIPAL TASKS OF THE ROLE:
- Organisation of our warehousing facilities.
- Driving the company van to restock principal warehouses from the nearby overstock facility.
- Managing the order processing team.
- Picking orders.
- Packing orders.
- Unpacking new stock deliveries and checking off against purchase orders.
- Overseeing ongoing stock checks.
- Some cleaning and general upkeep of the warehouse.
- Helping with phone enquires.
GENERAL
- A flexible approach to working with a small motivated team.
- Cover for colleagues during holidays and sickness.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES:

- IT competent.
- Able to work alone and as part of a team.
- A flexible can-do attitude.
- Some interest in climbing, hill walking and/or off-road running, combined with an enthusiasm for the outdoors in general.
CONTRACT & SALARY
This is a full time position with an initial 6 month probationary period. The role would be available to start immediately: Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 5.00pm.
Salary range: 18.5 to 20k - dependent on skills and experience.
