We are on the lookout for two exciting roles to help shape the future of climbing in Gloucestershire. 

CLIMBING MANAGER 

The Place: As one of the UK’s original climbing centres, The Warehouse has introduced tens of thousands of people to climbing over the years. Set in the county of Gloucestershire, with it’s (comparably) low cost of living, The Warehouse is a characterful and welcoming place to climb. The future of climbing in Gloucestershire looks brighter than ever with 270 Climbing Park gaining planning for a £7M project, and the successful candidate can expect to play a part in the development of the UK’s largest purpose built climbing centre.

The Role: The position will be a split between managing shifts in the centre, and delivering instruction and coaching to climbers of all ages and abilities. The Person: The ideal person loves climbing and wants to pass on their passion to others. Able to strike a good balance between maintaining professional standards and fostering a fun working environment, they will see management responsibilities as a chance to strengthen and support the team and the business.

The Details: Based on a 40 hour week. A salary c. £25K for someone who ticks all the boxes. Help to relocate to Gloucestershire, if required. Applications close on  30/05/2021

CLIMBING INSTRUCTOR  

This engaging, active role involves maintaining good climbing practice and upholding all aspects of the centre. Duties include ensuring the aspirations and needs of our customers are met in a safe environment. Responsible for providing comprehensive and professional climbing instruction to a range of ages and abilities (from beginner to advanced) the successful candidate must be friendly, enthusiastic, have good communication skills and enjoy working with all ages and abilities. 

Hours are set on a three-week rota, with the option to work across other departments within the business (i.e. Mobile Team etc).  As part of the role you must also be keen to learn and support other areas of the business such (CafeBar, Reception, Room Hire etc)
