The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is returning to the UK even bigger in 2018 with a brand new collection of the most exhilarating and inspirational adventure films on the planet! The trailer has just been released and you can check it out now at

Unleash your wild side with an evening of mind-blowing journeys, high-altitude action and phenomenal landscapes as the world’s top adventurers push life to the limits in some of the furthest-flung corners of the globe. Two entirely different film programmes will be shown once again this year – the Red and Blue film programmes. The film line-up for both programmes will be announced in mid December.

The tour kicks off in Edinburgh on 13 January and more than 100 shows later ends in Northern ireland on 19 May. There's lots of new venues in 2018 and all the details and tickets are available at

Throughout the Tour, more than £50,000 of prizes and giveaways will be up for grabs from the Banff Tour partners, including Keen, Cotswold Outdoor, Rab, Osprey, Buff, CMH, Thermacell, SueMe and Clif Bar.

In reply to Rockley:

We would love to bring the Banff Film Festival to Sheffield. However Sheffield already has SHAFF and we want to respect this great local film festival.
