Is it just me, or does anyone else notice something "out of the ordinary" about the second "Photograph of the week" for last week (14th - 21st)?!!

It looks like quite a few shots I've seen of the hill. What do you see that is "out of the ordinary"?

Has something been removed? I only see 9 photos in the top 10, none of them the Buachaille.

OP Tam O'Bam 26 Jul 2019
In reply to Simon Caldwell:

No nothing's been removed, as far as I can see, however strictly speaking, you're right about there being no photos of the Buchaille! Over 100 views of my post and nobody else has spotted it! (When I click into the top ten for 14th to 21st July Top Ten, it's still there, but maybe my computer thingy hasn't re-stoked itself, or whatever they do.......). Perhaps it HAS been removed since my post?

Damn you! Please put us out of our misery... I won't be able to sleep tonight, if this doesn't get resolved! :-P

Give the man a cigar!!

After Trump, Brexit and Johnston, I thought I had entered an alternate Universe and was beginning to doubt my sanity!!

Surprising how many folk who saw the photo and must know the hill well didn't spot it!

Maybe the photographer took the photo in a mirror!

 Mal Grey 26 Jul 2019
In reply to Tam O'Bam:

We're clearly looking at different versions of the image then! The one I can see is the right way round. Possibly been changed and some browsers haven't caught up?

OP Tam O'Bam 26 Jul 2019
In reply to Mal Grey:

Yup, entirely possible about the bruisers, I suppose. Mine still shows a view down Glen Etive to the RIGHT. Which was on the left in the last Universe I visited.

(But then again, things have been getting a bit weird recently, haven't they)?

 Mal Grey 26 Jul 2019
In reply to Tam O'Bam:

The view to the side, of the valley with the distant hill is that of Glen Coe, with probably B Etive Beag peering over. All the features of the face itself are the right way round. I can see how confusion arises though.

In reply to Tam O'Bam:

That's not Glen Etive on the right, that's Glen Coe. More to the point, you can see at a glance that, leading down from the summit, Curved Ridge on the left, then Crowberry Ridge, then the North Buttress on the right, just as they should be.

Found it - it's in the UKH top 10, not the UKC top 10.

And it's the right way round when I look at it.

So, in answer to my original post, Yes, it IS just me!! Doh! (Apart from one other, who thought so too).

Attention to detail was never my strong point.

I even climbed Crowberry Tower years ago.

Apologies all.

Now, where did I put my tablets...............

In reply to Tam O'Bam:

A Hamish MacInnes novel has his photo of the Buachaille reversed on the cover.  When I asked him about it, he said it was because it was a work of fiction so why not have the cover as fiction too!  I also have a postcard of the Buachaille in reverse which is pretty odd.
