Hello, is there any user of this camera or similar?

I am interested to know if it is tough enough for general outdoor use when climbing and hiking in all weather. Obviously not letting it out in the open in rainy days but  taking it out of your pocket to get a few quick shots in the rain, or similar circumstances, without a weather proof case?

if not, is there any dedicated weather proofing that you can recommend?

Thanks in advance.

I use the tz70 for my light weight camera, so far no issues when using it in rainy showers, used alot in winter too. Use a sandwich bag to protect it from rain whilst in the bag but have never used a waterproof case.

I also have a TZ70 which I carry round my neck using a Lowepro padded case and strap. It's fine in light rain but I put it in the chest pocket of my waterproof when it comes on heavier.

Thanks for the feedback! that is what I was planning to do.

The sandwich bag tip from Gavalanche sounds good too.

Dust in the Kalahari killed my TZ70

Do you think the conditions would have killed other cameras too or did you consider it a weakness of your one? Where there other people with cameras that survived?
