Hi 

I'm looking to buy a photograph for a present for a big birthday of my Dad's - of course there are many galleries in the Lakes, but does anyone have any particular recommendations, or indeed photographs of their own that might be the ticket?

Looking for something dramatic, recognisable fells rather than a generic tree or wall type thing, I think.

Jon Allison's might fit the bill, the thumbnails on his website are a bit lurid but the actual prints look great. He used to have some up in Wilfs and in a gallery on Church Street in Ambleside.
