Asking a favour for any owners of this book.  I would really like a scan of the full page colour photo of me on White Slab.

Many thanks

Let me check

In reply to kevin stephens:

Are you the one on the colour pic ‘climber unknown?’

In reply to kevin stephens:

Mine's second edition - no good?

And, incidentally, why is there an otherwise excellent outdoor retailer touting them at 20 notes, when they know they'll never have stock? https://www.needlesports.com/2852/products/hard-rock.aspx

In reply to Deadeye:

Because I already have first and second edition.  In the photo I have a beard, red trousers and striped tee shirt.  The Needlesports page is showing as "out of stock".  I can't imagine they expect to get any more in.  Thanks for the interest 'though

Must be rare - Abe Books has loads of 1st and second editions, but no third

They usually have everything!

In reply to paul_in_cumbria:

I'm not sure, the photo was taken by Steve Ashton (used to manage Brighams in Capel), but may have been wrongly credited to Steve Haston?

In reply to kevin stephens:

Got it, I can email it to you tomorrow.

the photo is credited to Steve Reid

In reply to kevin stephens:

Kevin, I have it and will scan it for you shortly. But it's more like a one-third-page photo (yes, beard, red trousers and striped tee shirt) and credited to Stephen Reid.

A bit of context, my climbing partner in the photo who I lost touch with for some decades afterwards more recently became my life partner after we met up again

YHM (if it doesn't break your gmail inbox!).

In reply to petestack:

Thanks Pete, received fine, Steve Ashton gave me a black and white copy at the time but I can see now its actually a different shot out of the sequence
