Swallowtail is pretty showy though.  Perhaps a bit too blingy to be 'best'.

Doesn't count, but sadly, I have one of these at home. Some beautiful South American butterflies in it - such a shame. My great aunt brought it back from Rio de Janeiro in the 1930s, but, somehow, I feel I can't get rid - it's always been here...

Wow!!  I brought one of those butterfly tea trays back from Rio around 1968.  Over the years it became increasingly distasteful to my mind and eventually it got chucked out.  

I wonder  with little hope, if the butterflies were bred for their wings.  Hopefully not wild caught ones?
