I've never seen it like that BIG blood orange colour. Absolutely amazing. And a shooting star over it.

I believe it is Venus and the Pleiades in conjunction, quite spectacular.

No, you've got it right, it's just that the closest conjunction was on Friday. I took some photos on Thursday when it was about 1 degree S of them but on Friday when it was practically in among them it was too cloudy. By Saturday it was moving away  from them.

Thanks, I was wondering if it was just the Pleiades. Through binoculars it appeared as a cluster of bright dots.

The Seven Sisters ( though most people can see 6).

M45 to astronomers and , so I learnt last week, Subaru to the Japanese - hence the logo.
