I just saw a toothbrush in my local supermarket.

It was named the "Humble brush" and it was made out of wood.

It was 4 quid.

I liked the idea, it looked satisfying to hold and tactilely satisfying although being packaged up I couldn't confirm this .

One for when my present brush is worn out .

Anyway I thought it was a neat idea.

Was it packed in plastic? I've seen a few eco toothbrushes that disappointingly are.

To be fair I think it was .

Searching it out now and I found this

Still every little helps and some of the cost helping disadvantaged children is at least something.

Seems to be a lot of bamboo about.

Socks are brilliant.

Yeah I don't know what the Panda's problem is .

I thought that was a joke until I looked it up.

No. Got a pack from Aldi or Lidl, tried them for two days, went back and bought three more packs, all other non-specialist socks  in drawer now redundant

Bamboo stuff takes forever to dry though.

I will second that, very soft and nice to wear. 

It's a minefield out there this eco friendly lifestyle.

Anyhow the upshot seems to be that many just aren't what they, whatever their manufacturers- wittingly or unwittingly- claim.

Can one not just brush teeth with a finger?

Disappointed. I thought this was going to be about my favourite Springwatch presenter. 

My wife bought me one of these. The bristles fell out after a week, dumping a load of microplastics down the drain when I spit them out.
