A short wood walk in the Trossachs turned into an impromptu chanterelle forage, today - not large quantities but good quality mushrooms.

There are a few blaeberries too, which are tasty but also not ready in large numbers just now.

And a friend sent us a picture of some giant puffballs he just found by his parents' place in Worcestershire, too.

What have you all been finding?

Vetch of the purple flowered variety.  I’ve been en helping it win over the nettles and docs.  Bulging seed pods abound now and are very tasty snacking.

I foraged an apple, and some red and black currants, and some raspberry, a kiwiberry. Always worth a forage at the local garden centre.
