Doesn't help you other than to prove that Skoda audio systems have a mind of their own;
My '62 Octavia has a system that did not include Bluetooth/hands-free etc. I double checked on purchase, as it is a special edition based on a model which did, and I also checked the instructions thoroughly in case there was a way of activating it, to no avail. Dealer also confirmed this model didn't have it.
Roll on 6 1/2 years, and a couple of weeks ago I turned the ignition on only for the trip computer display only to start asking me to sync my phone, having done nothing different at all. A few minutes fiddling later and I have full Bluetooth, Media Player and Handsfree, and research has not come up with any way you can add or remove it, even if I wanted to. My car just decided it wanted me to have it now, perhaps as my driving has slowed down over the years and this is a reward. Yours must have decided its German, and until you treat it as such, won't play anything except, perhaps Wagner or Ooompah stuff?
