Some great photos

This line doesn’t sound right though, kind of implies there is only one broken spectre

“The Brocken spectre was seen elsewhere in the Peak District on Saturday”

Maybe it's quantum and in multiple places at once?

We saw it on Elidir Fach on Friday so it gets about a bit...

I’ve seen quite a few, the best ones being:

1.  Just finishing the ridge and sticking my head through the window on Sgurr nan Gillian and seeing a broken spectre (freaked my mate out, he’d never heard of them).

2. Above the cloud line, with the main peaks of Aanoch Eagach and Ben Nevis range and my broken spectre appearing to float above the ridge

3. in a plane, the sun shining straight through one window, past me, and casting my broken spectre just above the planes wing in the other side.

I had one on Skye on Saturday which lasted unbroken from sunrise to sunset.

Was it in lots of little pieces?

Absolute cracker of one visible from Bidean Nam Bian yesterday. Somewhat overshadowed (ha...) by the extent of the inversion though.....

Rainbows and brocken spectres. The only obvious things you can say are yours and yours only.

I wonder if my "likes" are for my totally unintentional play on the spelling mistake I have just noticed in the thread title!

I've heard them unwittingly referred to as rock-inspectors before now
