Hi all, can anyone recommend a good (and free without Adobe tax) PDF editor or converter (to Word) please.

Thanks

Richard

This will do a decent job of converting to Word.

I wouldn't bother trying to edit a PDF - the format is not designed to be editable, and any edit functions are clunky, at the best of times.

It very much depends what you want to do. For occasional, very minor edits I've found sejda.com useful. Runs online so no need to install anything, but the free version puts very stringent limits on how many changes you can make.

If the PDF originated from Word, then Word imports it quite well.

Also, intrigued that you would pay for Word but not Adobe.

On Windows 10 you can just right click, open with... select Word and it will convert it for you

Works on Windows 7 as well.  The important thing is to have the right version of Word: I'm using Office 365 ProPlus* on this Win 7 machine.

Ah I see, it's dependent on the version of Word rather than Windows (mine both got updated at the same time).

Got to say it was a bloody revelation when I found this!
