Yesterday I heard a new piece of music by Patrick Hedley, or Hadley, entitled Kinder Scout. I thought that it was quite good. If you want to go back to listen, it was on about 9am on Radio 3.

What do you think?

Didn’t hear that. But Jarvis Cocker did a rather lovely Open Country about Kinder yesterday on R4 which is also worth a listen.

Just listened to it on You Tube. To my uneducated ear it sounds a bit like the background music for a Catherine Earnshaw/ Heathcliff bit of dalliance on the moor so maybe the tone is right. I doubt a rewilded Kinder looking more like Kielder would have evoked the same response from the composer.

I must be ignorant. Is Kinder Scout set to look more like Kielder?

What's this dalliance? Maybe you should write a classical romance type novel based upon your idea.  :-}

There is a faction which would have the bulk of Peak moorland covered in trees. I'm not part of it.
