Think it’s a northern marsh orchid, found a few this week in a field near where I live. Anyone know whether they are rare etc and if it’s worth notifying anyone?  What’s a bit weird is the field is in Coal Board land, open access, and is somewhat secluded. But someone keeps dying to block off access in a very botched up way and I’m wondering whether they simply don’t want people trampling around these orchids.

I remember getting really stressed seeing the council bulldozing orchids on Shetland.  Then I realised they were everywhere on every road verge I passed!

Thanks guys. Reckon I might pick a load then.....

Inherited some when we got the house a few years back, there's a nice patch of wildflower lawn out the back. Got seven orchids last year, means I only have to Strim twice a year too (sorry for the boasting, cnat help meself).
