I bought a product key for Microsoft 365 (multiple devices). The first person to load it onto their new laptop (lets call it laptop1) had to set up a microsoft account, lets say: name1@outlook.com They then created a password and a PIN number. This worked no problems.
We want to load Microsoft 365 onto laptop2, but it says we need to use the account that first used the product key, i.e name1@outlook.com We type in name1@outlook.com, then insert the password, then insert the PIN and it says 'PIN incorrect'. We triple checked etc. and still got same message. So i got the owner of laptop1 to change the PIN number. Still got the same message.
Any ideas of what next?
