Couldn't see a thread on this, but I think it needs to be shared.

Utterly horrifying if true.

It will be dismissed, by those who want to believe it had no effect, by saying 'it was just a way to show what we all knew was happening'.

... oh, and the BBC will report it deep within the politics nerd section of their website so as to reach the smallest possible audience.

In reply to john arran:

It's the modern equivalent of fomenting rage about the Reichstag fire.

Those who complain we are saying that people were stupid to be influenced are wrong.  The point is that people were influenced in the same way as a developed, intelligent and cultured race were influenced in the 1930s by propaganda directed at the various tiers of society.

In a way those who allege that we are saying only stupid people would be influenced by lies and propaganda are saying that the entire population of 1930s Germany was stupid and that is patently not true.  why else do people run propaganda campaigns?

It's just another Brexiteer myth (myth at best if it is for their own consumption, a lie if it used in argument)

The presenter of the video is Big Phil Campion, a panellist on Sky TV’s ‘The Pledge’ programme.

It shouldn’t be too difficult to ask him if it’s a fake video.

I watched a video yesterday, pretty sure it was on channel 4.  He was interviewed and said it was staged and that everybody on the boat was English.  He said he was contracted to produce a video that showed how easy it was to land migrants.

Channel4 news has been doing a reasonably in depth series of reports on Aaron Banks and what he got up to with leave.eu (fake assaults, fake migrant channel crossings, targeting far right groups on facebook etc).  They also covered some of his other dodgy dealings such as bribing officials in which ever country his diamond mines are in

"The group, which is led by businessman and former Ukip donor Arron Banks, staged a video that it claimed showed how easy it was for migrants to cross to Britain illegally"

brilliant! if they are coming in illegally anyway, brexit will do nothing to stop them, so why has this even been put forward in support of their arguments? utter morons. so glad that they have been able to have such a massive effect on our country's future

Brexit was never about the EU, what it facilitated, what it required or what it prevented. It was always about a small number of well connected people fomenting public discontent, by any means they were able, for personal gain.
