I don't suppose anybody has a good recommendation for larger/commercial dehydrator suppliers in the UK do they?

It's not for food as such, but food-like substances*

Try looking for desiccators as well. Depending on what you’re drying out.

Plant-like things. Mostly leaves/stems but also fruit and occasionally flowers.

I think the process we will end up using will need to be a non additive one, which probably rules out most lab dessicators. Probably in reasonable quantities so drying on trays will be easier.

But this is all new to me so I'm trying catch up quickly, and all advice is gratefully received.

I find a curry and a few pints leaves me as dry as the Sahara the next morning.
