Morrisons were out of the blocks pretty early with assistance for their suppliers.

Dyson are busting a nut to produce a medical regulatory compliant ventilator and production line.  They’re definitely not flavour of the month around here though.

Microsoft have been building capacity on Teams at a phenomenal rate; this is proving critical to a lot of big organisations almost instantly moving to everyone working from home.  That would have been unthinkable even a few years ago.

Northumbrian Water for giving us nice brown tap water this evening to distract us?

I understand Microsoft are keeping hourly paid staff on full pay, but it's not clear what exactly this means.

We went into near total isolation a week ago as I refused to be a part of the governments apparent “strategy” and our region was starting to get cases.  It’s been a revelation to me - stay at home parenting is almost infinitely better than going to work.  

Timpsons have long had a reputation of being good to staff. My husband worked for them for a while dry cleaning. He hated the job, but said he couldn't fault them as a company. The treat their staff as people, not numbers, they take on people who are leaving the criminal justice system etc

I would have thought they would have been key workers...

Yep, I won't be hurrying to Spoons for a celebratory pint once this is over.

Not sure whether data supports this but Tesco have impressed me in terms of customer comms and their speed in rolling out rationing.

Kudos too to Virgin who texted me to let me know I had unlimited call time and 10 GB data for the month so I could keep in touch with loved ones!

Our local telecomms (mobile) company has given me free data roaming.

Shame I can't leave the country to use it.

However its wonderful that you get to spend time with your little one.  

If only they treated their airline staff so well. 

I was a self-employed taxi driver, paying a taxi company for use and maintenance of a car, and the use of the radio, jobs supplied through it etc. Despite the company offering a discount in the fees I paid I wasn't taking in enough to even cover this never mind make anything for myself. And obviously social distancing would've been impossible. So as of last Monday I'm unemployed. 😣 But...the company have waived the fees for my last 2 weeks. 😀

Home Bargains, I was at their HQ on Business a few days ago and it is literally all hands to the pump from the top down. Their workers in a shop I went to today were very good too enforcing social distancing and the shelves have adequate stuff on. 

I have a new found massive respect for anyone working in the "frontline" in retail at the minute.

Not gonna put a link as it probably breaks a posting guideline or twenty, but pornhub is doing their bit to help people stay home by giving free premium access to anyone agreeing to stay home or follow the government guidelines if they can't isolate. Genius
