Can anyone recommend me an auto repair/garage in Edinburgh? Preferably close to the New Town. 

I have an old car that has had an exhaust made for it. Although it's a specialist exhaust it can be fitted by any garage.

The well known tyre & exhaust places will only fit parts that supply so that are no use.

If he's still in business, Donnie MacLean might be worth a shot. He's in Leith, so not quite the New Town. He's a Peugeot/Citroen specialist, but I'm sure he'd be happy with other makes. Last time I saw him he was building a four wheel drive 2CV

Location Autos at Tollcross are very good. I've used them for decades.

Blackford Motor Engineers are a little further out than the new town but well worth the trip; they’re proper mechanics who can repair stuff rather than just replace things. Not expensive either.
