I spent yesterday morning sanding down 6 wooden doors, doorframes, and skirting boards. I now cannot unlock my phone from my thumbprint, but have to input the code.

Has anyone come across this before, how long before I get my fingerprints back, and what crimes should I commit in the meanwhile?

Yup, all the time. Few days to finger prints return

Simple, setup face recognition and that'll see you good while your fingertips heal, at least until you trip on a sanding block and break you nose, in which case we'll need to investigate yet another method

I get this after a days bouldering, a day or two and should be fine. Input your big toe into the phone for such occasions 

If my thumbprint starts working on my phone, I take it as a sign that I haven't trained for long enough 😁

It will be fine in a couple of days I reckon.
